Public Involvement
May 2010 Update!
The Spit Comprehensive Plan process is currently about 60% complete. As we move forward in trying to shape and refine the framework of the future draft plan, we will be seeking public input and community discussion on several levels:
- This spring and early summer, Homer Planning Commission Meetings will be a forum for discussion around a “working draft” – feel free to attend meetings, listen in, and provide limited comments over the course of these meetings.
- We’d love your feedback and comments on the working draft (go to documents page). Recognizing that it is a work in progress, and a beginning point for future discussion, please tell us what you like and don’t like, and give other ideas and input.
- We will be working with the community on figuring out a schedule and parameters for future public meetings and input as we work through the last 40% of the planning effort. Look for at least one public meeting late summer (while vendors are still in town) to be followed up by more public involvement through the beginning of fall.
- Check back with the websites for future meeting dates and revised documents or send us an email and we’ll put you on a list to receive updates: swdoyle@uskh.com
We welcome your feedback on this effort - please contact us at any time with your comments, ideas, and any questions:
